This technology has empowered students to plan, record, edit, and share their own podcasts, giving them hands-on experience with digital storytelling.\r\n\r\nThrough podcasting, students are developing skills in writing, speaking, collaboration, and critical thinking. They're learning how to structure interviews, build compelling narratives, and use editing tools to enhance their audio projects.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students has been finding their voices—literally and creatively. Whether it's sharing personal stories, exploring local issues, or interviewing guests, they've loved having a platform to express themselves and be heard by a real audience.","fullyFundedDate":1671139311320,"projectUrl":"project/media-arts-project/6944725/","projectTitle":"Media Arts Project","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Soccoa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4157909"},{"teacherId":6334771,"projectId":8584812,"letterContent":"My K - 4 students are learning and thriving in Wellness classes thanks to your support. We have used 'emotions mirrors' to examine our own expressions of different emotions so we can become self-aware. The students love using the mirrors along with our lessons on the emotional Zones of Regulation as we notice how we go into and out of different emotions across the day. We also draw our changing emotions on the small whiteboard panels. Our young students are developing their emotional vocabulary and our older students are examining what makes us feel different ways, and what strategies we can use to manage, cope and help ourselves get back to a good place from difficult emotions. Students are making great use of interactive boards with velcro cards where they can identify emotions, and tools to help with the emotions.\r\n\r\n Everyone has been writing or drawing in their goal journals to set short and long-term specific goals, and track our progress with them. We include encouragements about the things we can't do yet but are on our way to doing! To support our growth mindset and cheer ourselves on to achieving our goals, we break our goals into steps and track our progress and cheer each other on.\r\n\r\n The students love when I roll in with my Wellness cart all adorned with a library of books and various kinds of materials for them to use in their lessons.
