Our students have a great attendance record for online learning during this pandemic. They show up eager to learn and ready to participate, but some of them experience distractions that come with living in a crowded household. Noise cancelling headphones will block distractions our students are up against, living in hectic households as they continue education online. Since we have moved to online learning we have had success involving students in special activities such as students performing story "read alouds" for the larger school community. Noise cancelling headphones would equalize the field for all students to receive all the benefits of online instruction and participate in special activities.
