This year, I was hired as a split Resource Specialist Program (RSP) teacher serving students across two school sites with a wide range of learning needs. Your generosity has had a meaningful impact on my small-group instruction and the support I can provide each day.\r\n\r\nOne of the most valuable resources has been the laminator. I have used it to create reusable visual schedules, token boards, letter tiles, task cards, and instructional templates that support student learning and independence. My students especially love using the whiteboards during lessons. Whether they are practicing spelling words during ELA instruction, solving math problems, or using number lines to support computation, the whiteboards have increased engagement and participation. When students first saw the materials, they were excited to have hands-on tools they could use and interact with during lessons.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic chart paper has also been incredibly helpful. One student had a goal focused on copying from a near-point model, and the magnetic chart paper made it easy for me to display examples at eye level during instruction. Additionally, I used the classroom clocks with a small math group working on telling time. Being able to physically move the hour and minute hands gave students a concrete, hands-on way to understand time concepts and fully immerse themselves in the learning process.\r\n\r\nAs we prepare for the upcoming school year, I look forward to incorporating the place value boards into math instruction as students begin working toward goals in place value and number sense. These resources will continue to support individualized instruction and help students build confidence, independence, and academic skills. Thank you for investing in my students and helping create meaningful learning experiences that will benefit them for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1772578310992,"projectUrl":"project/a-traveling-rsp-teachers-toolkit-suppo/10115285/","projectTitle":"A Traveling RSP Teacher’s Toolkit: Supporting Two School Communities","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Diaz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10440277_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y146&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1771743892448","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10440277"},{"teacherId":10271139,"projectId":9734488,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity and support. Because of you, my students now have access to adaptive and sensory-friendly materials that are already making a meaningful difference in our music classroom.\r\n\r\nWe are using the new resources daily to help students regulate, focus, and fully participate in music-making. During our first week with the materials, one moment stood out: a student who often becomes overwhelmed during group activities chose to spend a few minutes in the sensory tent with a calming fidget, then proudly rejoined the class to sing with their peers. Other students are using visual whiteboards and carpet markers to follow routines, while adaptive tools allow everyone to engage in rhythm, movement, and sound exploration together.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their reactions were pure joy and curiosity. They were excited to explore the sensory tools, amazed by the Hoberman sphere, and eager to try the instruments. Several students immediately shared which items helped them feel calm or focused, and it was clear they felt seen and supported. The classroom atmosphere became more relaxed, confident, and joyful almost instantly.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue using these tools as we build ensemble skills through steady beat, rhythm patterns, and expressive performance. We are beginning small-group music projects where students collaborate using movement, instruments, and visual supports. These resources ensure that every student—especially those with diverse needs—can contribute, succeed, and experience the power of making music together.\r\n\r\nYour support goes far beyond supplies. You helped create a classroom where all students feel safe, included, and capable. Thank you for believing in my students and for helping us prove that music truly belongs to everyone.","fullyFundedDate":1760648495137,"projectUrl":"project/music-for-everybody/9734488/","projectTitle":"Music for Everybody","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Burza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10271139_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y211&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758334079623","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10271139"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_91459","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":727,"numTeachers":34,"percentFrplEligible":67,"percentAsian":7,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":82,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":5,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"21.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.1,"schoolId":91459,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about John Marshall Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"John Marshall Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/anaheim-elementary-school-district/john-marshall-elementary-school/91459"}
