From the moment my students saw the materials, they were immediately excited, especially the sensory pillows and the mini animals. Students were eager to use them, and it created such a warm, welcoming energy in the room.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the sensory pillows during independent reading and writing time, giving students a comfortable and flexible seating option that helps them stay focused longer. I've already noticed students who typically struggle with attention staying engaged and completing more work. The mini animals have been a huge hit as well. I've been using them as incentives and also incorporating them into small group activities and creative writing prompts, which has made lessons more interactive and fun.\r\n\r\nThe new supplies like the Flair pens, pencils, and sharpener have made a big difference in our daily routines. Students feel more prepared and take pride in their work, especially when revising and editing their writing.\r\n\r\nOne moment that stood out was during a writing block when a student who usually rushes through assignments chose to sit on a sensory pillow, carefully use the Flair pens, and spend extra time revising their work. It was such a small shift, but a powerful one.\r\n\r\nNext, we are building on this momentum by continuing our literary essay unit. Students will be using these materials to draft, revise, and publish their essays, with a focus on adding strong evidence and clear reasoning. The tools you provided are helping make that process more engaging and accessible for all learners.\r\n\r\nThank you for making our classroom a more comfortable, creative, and inspiring place to learn. Your support truly makes a difference every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1772493021814,"projectUrl":"project/small-supplies-big-impact/10123081/","projectTitle":"Small Supplies, Big Impact","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Freeman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3283536_orig.jpg?crop=1170,1170,x0,y93&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1684757553702","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/paigefreeman"},{"teacherId":3283536,"projectId":9410509,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my project! When the recess equipment arrived, my students' excitement was contagious. There was cheering, clapping, and an abundance of smiles. They could not wait to take everything outside, and now recess looks completely different. Students organize basketball games, start jump rope challenges, and create their own tournaments with bean bag toss and ring toss. What I love most is seeing kids who often sit out now fully engaged, laughing, and playing with classmates. These materials have given all students the chance to participate, build friendships, and practice teamwork.
