Each day, I randomly select three \"beanbag kids\" who get to sit on them during rug time, and every student hopes their name will be chosen. When our third-grade buddies visit, I also invite a pair or trio to enjoy the beanbags together, which makes those moments even more special.\r\n\r\nI've noticed that not only students, but even classroom visitors, naturally gravitate toward the beanbags and make themselves comfortable. They've truly become a welcoming and cozy part of our classroom.\r\n\r\nWhen I told my class I would be writing to thank you, sixteen out of twenty students eagerly wanted to share their thoughts. Here are a few of their words:\r\n\"I like the beanbags because they are super soft and they feel great and they are warm and they're also super comfy.\"\r\n\"I like the beanbags because they are big.\"\r\n\"We get to take turns to sit on the beanbags and we get to read or rest on the beanbags.\"\r\n\r\nYour generosity has created a space where students feel comfortable, included, and excited to learn. Your generosity is already making a meaningful difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe reading nook and small sofa have created a cozy, safe place where students can read quietly, take a break, or sit with a staff member for extra support. It has quickly become a favorite space where students can relax and focus on books in a calm environment.\r\n\r\nThe headphones with microphones have also been instrumental during both group and individual testing, as well as writing activities. They help students focus, block out distractions, and participate more comfortably in lessons and assessments.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, students were excited to explore the new space. Many immediately asked if they could sit in the reading nook or try the headphones. Seeing their excitement and sense of comfort in the classroom was a wonderful moment for all of us.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue to use these resources during our daily literacy time and small-group instruction. Students will use the reading nook for independent reading and quiet work, while the headphones will continue to support testing, writing, and focused learning.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create a classroom environment where students feel calm, supported, and excited to learn.
