When I showed them all of the letter tiles that were included, they were immediately excited to start learning new skills so that they could \"unlock\" more tiles on their trays. We started with just a few tiles: 26 letter tiles, double consonants, and digraph ck. Since then, we have added additional digraphs, as we have learned them in our phonics instruction. We are looking forward to adding even more tiles as the school year progresses.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the students have been so engaged the last few months when using these magnetic letter trays to build words. Students who were hesitant to write out the words during phonics application practice will attempt to build the words with their magnet tiles. I have seen so much growth!
