This unit supports students in using their own experiences and knowledge about the grocery store.and to be able to focus on role-specific language more explicitly. The variety of wooden food sets we received from this project brought joy and fun to each center, such as making a cake in our bakery, cutting fruits and vegetables in produce, sorting food groups in the deli, and racing hot wheels in our loading dock. Overall, the materials from this project helped bring about new vocabulary and understanding roles and responsibilities of customers and employees throughout a grocery store.
