Due to limited space, our middle school is choosing not to use lockers this year. Instead, we have decided to provide our students with clear backpacks to carry around during the day. While we are excited for this change, we want to be considerate of our young ladies' needs and privacy. Therefore, we would like to provide them with feminine hygiene products, as well as a personal storage pouch which will allow them to be discrete from their curious teenage male classmates! They deserve to go through their day learning about algebra and poetry, without having to hide their sanitary products. In addition, working in a low-income area sometimes students' needs aren't met. Sometimes our families are unable to provide necessary items, so as teachers we provide them at school. Students don't need to stress about being embarrassed in front of their classmates.
