My students are risk-takers. They are strong and curious individuals seeking answers and finding more questions. Almost every one of my students are eligible for free or reduced lunch. They are dreamers. They have a fiery curiosity that keeps me on my toes, and I am time and time again in awe of their perseverance despite the myriad barriers they face. Many of their parents did not complete high school or pursue secondary education. My students are resilient, creative, and unique individuals. They deserve the opportunity to develop their organization and academic skills, as well as the opportunity to learn and grow in the best space possible.
