Watching reluctant readers become excited to pick up another book has been one of the greatest rewards.\r\n\r\nThese series have had a meaningful impact on student learning. As students continue reading about familiar characters, they are building reading stamina, improving fluency, and strengthening their comprehension skills. They are making predictions, noticing character development, and having richer conversations with their classmates about the stories they read. Most importantly, they are discovering the joy of reading for pleasure.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and investing in their future. This year I noticed that my students loved creating with paper, crayons, stickers, glue, stickers, tape, and anything else that they need to create. This is great, but the mess is real! I understand we learn a lot when we are messy, but I needed to find a way to help organize our mess. The table caddy is used to store their tools (glue, scissors, crayons, and markers) while the trays are where they create. This makes it easier to clean up at the end so the students can just dump and wipe out their trays. The little bins hold all our materials that we use to create. It is less messy for the students to grab a bin instead of a handful of stickers. We were able to put these into use at the end of the year and it worked great.
