Students are using the cushions and lap desks during independent practice and math testing, which has helped them stay comfortable, focused, and engaged for longer periods of time. One moment that really stood out was during a recent math computation block — students who typically struggled to stay seated and focused were able to complete their work with fewer redirections because they had a fidget tool or flexible seating option that worked for them.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement was immediate. Students were eager to try everything and were so proud that people cared enough about their learning to support our classroom. As we move forward, we are using these tools to support longer project-based learning blocks, especially as students work through multi-step problem solving and reading response activities.
