This magazine has helped my class explore history through real stories, diverse perspectives, and age-appropriate discussions that encourage curiosity and critical thinking. Students are excited to read each issue, ask thoughtful questions, and connect past events to the world they see today.\r\n\r\nHonest History has become a valuable classroom resource during our social studies lessons, sparking rich conversations and helping students better understand complex topics like fairness, community, and change over time. All of the items have been received and we are working hard at putting it together and starting to grow items from the seeds that we got. The shade structures that we received are helping to ensure that the plants are getting the correct amount of sunlight, especially with the hot AZ sun that we have! Some of the plants need some shade! \r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when all the items started to arrive at the school! They set out the stepping stones to create a path to different garden boxes that we have plants growing in. The hydroponics gardens are being used inside to start the growing process and students love learning about how that process works. The students are most excited about having the opportunity to paint rocks and place them in the garden. They know that they are the first group of students to have this garden and that their legacy will remain there for many years to come. The rocks that they are painting will be spread around the garden with words of kindness and decorated to make the garden more beautiful!","fullyFundedDate":1765063246434,"projectUrl":"project/operation-keep-it-growing/9907255/","projectTitle":"Operation: Keep It Growing","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Helmick","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3363305_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1647704075312","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3363305"},{"teacherId":8370669,"projectId":7996965,"letterContent":"Bringing Sphero coding robots into our 4th grade science classroom has transformed the way students engage with learning. Instead of simply reading about scientific concepts or hearing explanations, students now have the chance to explore ideas through hands-on experiences. As they program their Spheros to move, react, and solve challenges, they develop a deeper understanding of force, motion, energy, and problem-solving. This interactive approach keeps them excited and motivated, allowing curiosity to guide their learning.\r\n\r\nThe addition of these robots has also strengthened students' ability to connect technology with real-world applications. They begin to see coding not as an abstract skill, but as a powerful tool used by engineers, scientists, and innovators every day. Whether they are designing a path for the Sphero to model planetary motion or programming it to navigate a maze, students learn how technology can be applied to solve problems and create solutions. Thanks to this DonorsChoose project, our classroom has become a space where creativity, critical thinking, and meaningful exploration come together—opening doors for students to imagine themselves as future creators, thinkers, and leaders in STEM.","fullyFundedDate":1701182061372,"projectUrl":"project/student-vs-coding-robots/7996965/","projectTitle":"Student vs. Coding Robots","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tash","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8370669_orig.png?crop=350,350,x0,y36&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763672277857","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8370669"},{"teacherId":9844959,"projectId":8959375,"letterContent":"I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your incredible support in funding my classroom project for 7th grade ELA.
