All of these resources are for the benefit of the students. On my list, there is flexible seating. Flexible seating helps keep students engaged and focused. Especially during Covid, students are not allowed to do as much group work and work with their peers, so giving students the option to move around at their desks with flexible seating is very important. "Flexible seating allows students to wobble, rock, bounce, lean, or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow, and core strength. In turn, this burns more calories and increases metabolism. It also helps keep young minds more alert and focused." There are also many phonics/reading-centered games. In 2nd grade, it is important to keep students motivated to learn. This happens through fun, but educational games such as the ones I picked out. These can be used in small groups and reading intervention. I appreciate all the support. :)
