Our students have significant communication challenges, sensory processing needs, and behavioral regulation difficulties. These materials are not just \"extras\" — they are essential tools for learning, emotional regulation, and growth.\r\n\r\nThe art supplies have provided our students with meaningful ways to express themselves when words are hard to find. Many of our students struggle with verbal communication, and creative expression through painting, drawing, and hands-on projects allows them to share feelings, ideas, and experiences in a safe and supportive way. We have already seen increased engagement, improved fine motor skills, and longer attention spans during structured activities.\r\n\r\nThe sensory items have been especially transformative. Students who previously experienced frequent meltdowns or difficulty remaining in the classroom are now using sensory tools to calm their bodies and regulate their emotions. With access to appropriate sensory supports, students are able to return to learning more quickly, participate in small group instruction, and interact more positively with peers.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our classroom is becoming a more inclusive, supportive, and structured environment where all students can feel safe and successful. You are not just providing supplies — you are helping children build self-regulation skills, confidence, and a love for learning that will benefit them far beyond this school year.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for investing in our students and believing in their potential.","fullyFundedDate":1768519162607,"projectUrl":"project/safe-sensory-space-for-little-learners-w/10016927/","projectTitle":"Safe Sensory Space for Little Learners Who Need It Most","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jamie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10403526"},{"teacherId":1800527,"projectId":9545780,"letterContent":"My project helped students in Music class from K-6th be able to utilize technology and create Stem projects and create other musical projects in partners so that everyone is able to participate with the other tablets I have in my room. in all grades be able to utilize Students were also able to practice their Recorder by using the music curriculum I have online.Without the extra Alto recorders I wouldn't be able to teach them in conjunction with Soprano recorders for my older students.\r\nThe laminating sheets allowed me to laminate all of my musical posters and music manipulatives for everyone to access and reuse.
