The students have easy access to what they need in class and have ownership of their materials. Students now independently pull out the pouch to use whenever they need manipulatives to help them with their work. \r\n\r\nThe whiteboards with the hundreds chart, number line and ten frame have also been a huge help for students. When they are working I see students pull it out of their pouch and work out the problems without having to use paper, and they like using the whiteboard and markers. \r\n\r\nAs well, the number of the day chart has been a huge hit for my students. They love taking turns writing out the various parts, such as the tally marks and drawing the picture. It has helped my students to gain an understanding of expanded form and base 10 / place value.
