Their faces lit up as they explored the new reading and math manipulatives, immediately touching, sorting, and asking eager questions. We began using the CVC magnets during small-group lessons, and the hands-on activities have already helped my young learners, especially my English language learners build confidence and stay engaged. The nutritious snacks have also made a noticeable difference, helping students stay focused and energized throughout the day.\r\n\r\nThe cleaning supplies have helped us maintain a healthier classroom environment, and my students take pride in keeping our space clean and welcoming. During math small groups, the students were especially excited to use the new magnetic ten-frames to practice counting and simple addition. The kids were also very excited about the party favors and fidget toys that were added to our treasure box, and these have been used to motivate students and encourage positive behavior. With these new resources, we've started a unit where students use the manipulatives to build words, count, and solve simple problems. Their excitement and participation have grown, and they're showing more independence and curiosity during lessons.","fullyFundedDate":1755696121007,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-minds-and-bright-futures/9515825/","projectTitle":"Fueling Minds and Bright Futures","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Soriano-Tejada","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9050677_orig.jpg?crop=1944,1944,x0,y51&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754273376983","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9050677"},{"teacherId":2482022,"projectId":9101554,"letterContent":"Your donations towards our project has made my students excited about this event. We've been using the snacks in so many meaningful ways. Whether it's a mid-morning boost during small group reading, a treat after a tough math challenge, or simply a way to keep focus throughout the day, your contribution has made a real impact. One moment that stands out was during a long testing day; I handed out snacks during our break, and one student said, \"This made my brain wake up again!\" It was a small but powerful reminder of how your kindness reaches them right where they are.\r\n\r\nWhen the snacks first arrived, my students' faces lit up with excitement and gratitude. They immediately asked if they could help unpack them and set up our new \"snack station.\" It quickly became a little hub of joy in our classroom. For many of my students, having consistent access to snacks not only helps with focus but also creates a comforting routine that sets the tone for successful learning.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we're diving into a new science project that requires a lot of focus and collaboration. The snacks have been a huge help in keeping energy levels up, especially during long group activities. Thanks to your support, my students can stay more engaged and feel supported in ways that go beyond academics. Your generosity has made our classroom a warmer, more welcoming place—and we're so grateful for that.","fullyFundedDate":1735684537172,"projectUrl":"project/snacks-for-the-little-ones/8791819/","projectTitle":"Snacks for the Little Ones","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Perceval","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9602636_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721794090974","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/m-perceval"},{"teacherId":2482022,"projectId":9086101,"letterContent":"Thank you for making this project a reality as opposed to just a project of hope. Now, I do not have to worry about my students being hungry and unable to focus in their learning when they arrive let to school beyond breakfast time. I can now offer them things they can munch on to hold them until then. These items will also be used to help them keep motivated as they work and a burst of hunger growls occur. Working hard in class makes lots of hungry students at times. When we unboxed the donations of chips and cookies the class cheered and clapped and reminded me how we can place it in our care closet for when they need it. They know that I always try to have something available to them when they need it. Now they know that others who don't even know them care enough to donate to make sure Ms. H always has something for them when they need it.
