Students in my theatre classes are bonding and working together on several projects, all thanks to board games that were donated to the school. This will make our 10-minute plays a great success because they are bonded and building strong relationships with each other. \r\n\r\nRecently, students read from their copies of the 10-minute plays and will begin working on choosing a script, auditioning each other, and producing a 10-minute play. It is such a great experience to have students work through the process of reading and analyzing a script, casting, blocking, and rehearsing a play. It teaches them about theatre from a variety of angles. \r\n\r\nNone of these assignments would work without the students being able to trust each other. We have worked on team building since the first day of school in August. Students get a monthly, sometimes bi-monthly opportunity to play collaborative board games with each other. As as learning tool, we will be using the STEM kits between the online certification and the final project. This allows students to work through a physical project to complete, work on communication and problem resolution skills to complete the kit. My students aren't just learning theory—they are building and testing ideas, creating logos, and designing product concepts. Printing their work in color allows them to hold a tangible version of their ideas, which makes the process feel much more authentic. When students can see their designs on paper, they're better able to evaluate, revise, and refine their business concepts, just like real entrepreneurs do.\r\nWhat excites them most is that their projects no longer stay stuck on a computer screen. When they complete a logo, product label, or customer segment map, they can print it out and take it home. It's something they can share with family, pin on a wall, or save in a binder as a reminder of what they accomplished. Later, they'll be able to look back at these early projects as the first steps in their entrepreneurial journey. Having something concrete and professional-looking in hand reinforces that their ideas matter.\r\nSome students who were hesitant at first have especially warmed up to this new tool. One student who struggled with confidence became more engaged when he printed his Lean Canvas Business Model with his logo included. Seeing the document in full color made it feel like a real business plan rather than just a class assignment. That moment encouraged him to take ownership of his work and proudly share it with others.
