This donation has made an immediate difference in our rehearsals and performances.\r\n We put the reeds to use right away as we prepared for our Spring Concert and for students performing at WSMA State Assessment. Instead of trying to get by on worn or inconsistent reeds, students were able to start rehearsal with materials that worked. This improved tone, response, and overall consistency in the clarinet and saxophone sections, and allowed us to spend more time refining the music rather than troubleshooting equipment.\r\n A couple days before the concert, one student was struggling during rehearsal with their instrument, which turned out to be a reed that just wasn't cooperating. I gave them one from our DonorsChoose supply, and by the end of rehearsal they came back and said the new reed was \"fabulous\" and allowed them to play much more freely. It was a simple moment, but a clear example of the impact this makes.\r\n Students were genuinely excited when the boxes arrived. For many, having access to a fresh reed when needed removes stress and helps them feel more prepared for performances and assessments.\r\n An added benefit of your donation is that we were able to redirect some of our school's allotted budget toward purchasing new music for the ensemble.
