The high schoolers that read in a 2nd-3rd grade level don't feel singled out with \"baby books\" when they have access to the graphic novels. I really appreciate the different types of texts that the graphic novels represent, everything from ecology to Shakespeare to LGBTQ. I love watching them read in class! Every time they ask to borrow one of my graphic novels I am so overjoyed!
