We were able to explain to our students why these members of our comminuty are so important and why they deserve to be celebrated. Students enjoyed writing cards and passing out candy. This project also helped encourgae writing skills as students were asked to write encouraging notes to our veterans. Spelling, punctuation, and grammar were all key factors in their writing and boost their skills.
