Their faces lit up, and they immediately wanted to start playing and trying everything out. For many of my students, soccer is something they already enjoy, so having new equipment made them feel excited, included, and motivated to participate.\r\n\r\nWe are using the soccer equipment during our physical activity and recreation time. The students are practicing passing, dribbling, shooting, and, most importantly, working together as a team. I have been using these activities to help students practice communication, cooperation, sportsmanship, and perseverance. One of my favorite moments was watching students encourage each other and help classmates who were still learning different soccer skills.\r\n\r\nThe new equipment has also helped students become more active and engaged. Instead of simply playing a game, we are focusing on skills and teamwork. Students are learning how to take turns, follow directions, solve problems together, and celebrate each other's successes.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue building our soccer skills through small-group activities and friendly team games. I want my students to keep practicing teamwork and sportsmanship while also building confidence and having fun. I am so grateful to the donors who made this possible. Your generosity has given my students new opportunities to be active, learn together, and create positive memories at school. Instead of sitting passively through traditional lessons, students used the iPad and Apple Pencil to bring numbers to life. They eagerly grabbed the stylus to sketch out fractions, annotate geometric shapes, and work through complex word problems visually, allowing them to instantly see the logic behind each equation.\r\n\r\nFor students who previously struggled to write out traditional math steps on paper, the digital canvas provided a welcoming, pressure-free space to make mistakes, erase, and try again. They used interactive math apps to manipulate graphs and explore spatial reasoning at their own pace. Students are able to fully participate, practice new skills, and work together in ways that were difficult before because of limited equipment. For example, students use the devices for reading support, language practice, and interactive activities that combine visuals, audio, and hands-on learning—something that's especially helpful for diverse learners.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is how engaging and \"real\" the learning feels. They love being able to tap, create, listen, and respond in different ways instead of just sitting and listening. It makes learning feel fun and meaningful, not intimidating.\r\n\r\nI've seen particular growth from students who are emergent bilinguals and those who struggle with attention or confidence. Many of them have really warmed up to the technology because it gives them a safe space to try, make mistakes, and succeed without pressure. We're using it as a flexible seating option during independent reading, small group work, and calm-down moments. One of my favorite moments so far was watching a student who usually struggles to stay focused curl up on the bean bag with a book and read quietly for much longer than usual. It created a sense of comfort and safety that really supported their learning.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the bean bag chair, their faces lit up. There were lots of \"Wow!\" and excited whispers, and they immediately started talking about how cozy it looked. It made them feel like their classroom was a place designed with their needs and feelings in mind.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, we're continuing to build a classroom environment where students feel comfortable, supported, and ready to learn. Our next steps include using flexible seating like the bean bag during literacy centers and social-emotional learning activities to help students self-regulate and stay engaged.
