Every grade level K-8 has begged to do a project with them.\r\n\r\nThe best thing about these MakeDo tools is they are reusable so I can use them again and again unlike messy tape or hot glue. With a lot of new medium present in the classroom because of your donaion the students are getting so many art experienced they would have missed out on before. The biggest success would have to be the clay and watercolor. The students ask to use these materials everyday to express some creativity they feel. The multimedia paper has helped students learn different types of paper, show media in different ways, making more of a texture compared to copy paper which is smooth and uses less of their beloved pastels. Being able to provide students with a choice of media and having them know how to use it all correctly has been the largest impact here this year! We have also started an indoor recess club where the students come upstairs and work on keychains and other jewelry for themselves, friends, family and teachers. Many of the students who have joined have been making gains on their fine motor skills and have made new friends. Students who were usually alone in the cafeteria or recess yard, have a group of classmates who have noe become friends.
