Some even shared how much it meant not to have to worry about missing instruction or calling home for new clothes.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we plan to keep an organized clothing closet stocked with essentials for all grade levels. Fifth grade made amazing magnetic mazes to learn about magnetism. Every grade level K-8 has begged to do a project with them.\r\n\r\nThe best thing about these MakeDo tools is they are reusable so I can use them again and again unlike messy tape or hot glue. They are durable and easy to use from the youngest to the oldest students. Even my para professionals loved using them and joined in.\r\n\r\nYour donation has made my class fun for them and fun for me! We are planning to have a family cardboard challenge later this year! As a science teacher turned art teacher this year, I have been able to help students grow in many creative ways and use a lot of old materials to develop lessons and make new decor for classrooms and hallways. One parent told the principal she hasn't seen the display case so colorful in years. With a lot of new medium present in the classroom because of your donaion the students are getting so many art experienced they would have missed out on before. The biggest success would have to be the clay and watercolor. The students ask to use these materials everyday to express some creativity they feel. The multimedia paper has helped students learn different types of paper, show media in different ways, making more of a texture compared to copy paper which is smooth and uses less of their beloved pastels. Being able to provide students with a choice of media and having them know how to use it all correctly has been the largest impact here this year!
