They love the second part of our math block when they use their new tools. \r\nI want to share with you the reaction of my class. The boxes were delivered to my classroom when the students were still present. They were so curious about the contents of the boxes..... so I decided to open them in front of them. It was so much fun! They were in shock that they each had their own tools. They felt so special. They don't usually get brand-new things, so this was a big deal. \r\nThey assumed I bought it for them, but I shared with them the story of how these new things reached them. Someone asked me what my students needed to help them learn. \r\nWhat a lesson your generosity is teaching. They were amazed that someone they didn't even know sent them new stuff! \r\nThey asked if you could visit so they could meet you and thank you. Hopefully, this note will convey their joy.","fullyFundedDate":1759451931977,"projectUrl":"project/showing-off-our-math-skills/9776010/","projectTitle":"Showing Off Our Math Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Academia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5238865"},{"teacherId":9755431,"projectId":9781712,"letterContent":"The donation that you have provided my classroom with has made such a large difference in my students learning in more ways than you know. It was been so amazing to see how much of an interest in reading books my students have acquired now that my classroom library is filled with books that spark their interest!\r\nWe do silent reading 4 times a week for 45 minutes. It allows students to just have some time to sit and read while practicing their reading skills. Every student, no matter their reading level, is able to just sit and read and I truly have seen a big difference in their reading capabilities. I have many students who come from low income households and since books can be quite pricey and since they are limited to access to a public library near them, many students only have access to books that are here in school. It has been so special to see how excited they are when they get to pick out a new book or earn points from our Accelerated Reader program. All of this is because of you.\r\nI am so grateful for your donation to our classroom as it has impacted my students in more ways than you know.
