Having a space and the right tools can help students use art to investigate how to express feeling of how they are coping with this ever changing world. Our classroom has florescent lighting, and often times the lights are left off to alleviate the harshness. Lighting is a key element to artwork, and having a shade to cover the lights will help create a warm environment in which students can be comfortable to explore their feeling through art they will create. The art supplies will give students the tools they need to be creative, and use art to work through feelings that may be confusing for them and difficult to understand during this difficult time of coming out of isolation, and trying to be "safe".
