Your kindness and support have brought so much excitement, joy, and new opportunities to our classroom. I cannot thank you enough for helping make these resources possible for my students!\r\n\r\nThe day the boxes arrived, I had them sitting on my table, and my students were SO excited! As soon as they walked through the door, they immediately noticed the boxes and wanted to know what was inside. Their curiosity and excitement were contagious, and it was so special to see how eager they were to explore all of their new materials.\r\n\r\nOne of the first things we did was pass out a different type of flexible seating option to each table. The students were thrilled to try them out and even wanted to switch tables so they could experience all the different options! These cushions have already made such a huge difference in our classroom. Students using the kickbands love being able to move their feet and keep their bodies busy while still focusing on their work. Those using the inflatable cushions enjoy being able to wiggle in their seats and feel the different textures while completing their classwork. They have even started asking about other flexible seating options we might be able to add to our classroom in the future!\r\n\r\nThe STEM toys were an immediate hit, too! The pixel art toy quickly became a class favorite, and students have been taking turns using it. They have already asked if we could get more since everyone loves it so much! The gear-building toys have also been wonderful to watch. Students have enjoyed working together to create different patterns, build designs, and test their creations to see if everything works. Seeing their faces light up as they problem-solve, collaborate, and discover new things has been one of my favorite parts of this experience.\r\n\r\nWe are still learning how to use Botley, our coding robot, but the excitement was undeniable when the students saw him come out of the boxes! They were practically screaming with excitement because they know we will be using him during our STEM Fun Fridays. I cannot wait to see all the creative ways they learn and explore with him!\r\n\r\nThese donations have brought so much excitement into our classroom while also giving my students new ways to learn, focus, create, and work together. More importantly, they have helped me create an environment where students feel excited about learning and have different tools to help them be successful.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and for believing in my students. Your support has made a real difference in our classroom, and I am incredibly grateful to each and every one of you who donated and helped make this project possible. I wish you could have seen the smiles on their faces and felt the excitement in the room when everything arrived. It was truly a special moment that I will not forget.","fullyFundedDate":1790603161466,"projectUrl":"project/wiggle-while-we-work-helping-energetic/10674052/","projectTitle":"Wiggle While We Work: Helping Energetic Minds Stay Focused","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mullins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10684826"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_84772","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":390,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":90,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":80,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":3,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":12,"gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"16.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":78.3,"schoolId":84772,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Hillview Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Hillview Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/ohio/newark-city-school-district/hillview-elementary-school/84772"}
