Initially, my project was written to promote biliteracy through the use of big books. but unfortunately the items I selected were no longer available. I shifted from big books to audio books. \r\n\r\nMy students LOVE the audio books. I love the audio books. This new project not only develops reading for my students, it also strengthens their listening. I was so proud with how well my students stayed focused and followed along with the story as they listed to the audio. \r\n\r\nMy goal is to create independent station material for students to complete after reading and listening to the books. My students are using these resources during rehearsals to strengthen their musical skills, build confidence, and work together as an ensemble. Having access to the general materials we need allows students to spend more time focused on making music and less time worrying about whether we have the supplies needed to participate fully.\r\n\r\nMy students were excited to see the new materials arrive and were eager to put them to use. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they realized these resources were being provided specifically to support their learning. The materials have helped create a more engaging and productive rehearsal environment where every student can participate and contribute.\r\n\r\nAs we continue learning and preparing new music, students will use these resources to practice, improve their technique, and prepare for future performances.
