My students have ED and at times they cannot control their emotions. The pillows and tent will be used as a barrier to section off an area where they can practice self control and techniques of calming themselves down. While they are in the common area, they will have the opportunity to learn while they calm down as well as take their focus off of their anger and uncomfortable situation because learning never stops. In today's world and society, they will need to know how to maintain a level of self control and emotions when dealing with the outside world because one day they will be a successful person who has earned their place in society. The strategies that they will practice and model each day will help my students to be able to function and make good choices when they become law abiding citizens who are independent. Also, it will teach them good life skills.
