Phones are inefficient because of all of the distractions they allow. These somewhat simple scientific calculators are the perfect medium for the type of math done in Algebra and Geometry. Our school does provide graphing calculators, but students and myself included, find that these are more difficult to operate and manipulate. The scientific calculators are the solution that is \"just right.\" Thank you so much for making our classroom more efficient, math literate, and successful.","fullyFundedDate":1733281690426,"projectUrl":"project/calculating-success/8980511/","projectTitle":"Calculating Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Chavez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5490488_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1530071545436","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/april-chavez"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_82439","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1160,"numTeachers":79,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":7,"percentIndigenous":8,"percentLatinx":73,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":64.2,"schoolId":82439,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Highland High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Highland High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-mexico/albuquerque-public-schools/highland-high-school/82439"}
