The best learning and mastery comes from thoughtful discussions among classmates while collaborating on a project. I specifically need giant tear away paper, sharpie markers, and Mr. Sketch markers for use for the entire year. These supplies will be used by students to demonstrate their learning in a non-traditional way. Turning in individual assignments/worksheets on traditional lined paper and having it only be graded by the teacher can get tiresome. Giant group created posters using giant markers makes learning come more alive, creates group ownership and allows the work to be displayed for other classmates to critique and learn from.
