Because of you, my students have been able to experience technology in a way that feels meaningful, engaging, and joyful. While many of us use technology in our everyday lives, for my students this was something truly special they were able to explore, create, and learn in a hands-on way that built both their skills and their confidence.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments was watching their faces light up as they took their own pictures and then saw them printed out. There was pure excitement and pride as they held their photos in their hands. For many of them, seeing themselves in a picture they created was a brand new experience. They couldn't stop smiling, sharing with their classmates, and asking to take more photos.\r\n\r\nWhat touched me most was how this experience reached every student, especially those who are usually a bit more quiet or hesitant. These students came alive with excitement, eagerly participating and sharing their work. It gave them a sense of confidence and belonging that is so important at this age. Your kindness made these moments possible, and they are ones my students and I will never forget. The student are learning they earn points for their positive behavior and then have to save those points up so they can purchase an item they want. My students and I appreciate the generosity of the donors who contributed to my classroom. The students were so excited to see our snack area filled with snacks to combat hunger, especially with a variety of snacks that caters to the diverse dietary needs of my students. \r\nWith the end of winter and the arrival of spring, Kleenex is a necessity. They are helpful in set up, organizing items, reaching out to families that come by to encourage them to participate, as well as distributing both food, or health and wellness supplies.\r\n\r\nOur students are excited to know they are helping others in a significant way. We see students wear their beanies, gloves at school. Families say \"yes please\" and \"thank you\" to them when they hand out the socks, deodorants and tooth care packages. In our debriefs, the students see that any material is needed in each home. \r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue to expand the items we offer to families at our food distribution. We have included clothing as well. We also want to talk to others, their peers and teachers, by presenting to them what they do, what they have learned and how they can also can contribute. I also look forward to applying for more generous donations to continue the support to families. This is the third year we have been gifted this event and I am so relieved when I get the Email for donor's support. The smiles on their faces made this practice extra special!\r\nThe energy the poms created was felt by everyone who watched and heard our cheerleaders at the game.
