During cut-and-paste activities, the glue sticks and scissors have been extremely helpful. Students no longer have to wait for materials to be shared or leave assignments incomplete. Instead, they can grab what they need and get started right away. This has made our transitions smoother and our learning time more productive.\r\n\r\n In addition to our hands-on activities, we use the whiteboards and markers daily during phonics instruction. Students practice spelling our phonics sounds of the week and use the boards during sentence dictation. Because each child has the tools to actively participate, engagement has increased and everyone is involved in the lesson. We also use the boards and markers during small group instruction when our EIP teacher pushes in, which allows students to practice skills in a more interactive and supportive setting. Even something as simple as having sharpened pencils with erasers has boosted students' confidence and independence.\r\n\r\n When the students first saw the materials, their reaction was unforgettable. They were shocked and excited, whispering to one another and asking if the supplies were really theirs to use in the classroom. One student proudly said, \"We now have scissors and glue for me to use!\" Their joy and appreciation reminded me just how meaningful these resources are to them.\r\n\r\n As we move forward, students will continue using these materials during our upcoming ELA lessons. They will complete hands-on phonics activities, respond to reading passages, and participate in interactive writing tasks. Having consistent access to these supplies ensures that every student can fully participate, stay engaged, and continue building academic confidence.","fullyFundedDate":1769177028071,"projectUrl":"project/the-little-supplies-that-make-a-big-diff/9988459/","projectTitle":"The Little Supplies That Make a Big Difference","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Howard","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9080771_orig.jpg?crop=905,905,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1688134150667","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9080771"},{"teacherId":3440188,"projectId":9482411,"letterContent":"My students love to use the Ozobots!
