As the boxes of new materials began arriving in our classroom, the anticipation and excitement of what was in those boxes began to build in the students. When all of the packages arrived, I showed the new activities and materials to the first graders. It was the most exciting day for them! Their joy and excitement for our new classroom supplies was amazing. \r\n\r\nWe now have more choices for our STEM time. The students have loved building with the new Legos. It is fun to watch some create new creations, while other students enjoy building with the directions. The first graders also love the new building blocks. They are unlike any other STEM material we have, so this new item has been very fun for them to create with! The Creative Gardens has also been a popular new STEM activity, as well as the new science books! \r\n\r\nI can't express my gratitude enough! Your donation has truly made such a positive impact on my students and our classroom. My students have already been putting them to great use. They have worked in small groups to create colorful posters to display around our classroom, including messages such as \"WE CAN DO HARD THINGS\" and \"WELCOME TO BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT!\" The students also used the supplies for a Social Studies project we completed about the Hopi people. Having these materials available has allowed students to be creative while making meaningful connections to what they are learning.\r\n\r\nThe students were incredibly excited as the deliveries of art supplies began arriving. They could hardly wait to explore everything and were especially excited to use the markers, Sharpies, and dot markers. Their enthusiasm for creating and designing has been wonderful to see! The organizational bins have also been a huge help to me as their teacher by giving us a convenient and organized way to store and access all of our supplies. These donations have truly made our classroom more creative, organized, and engaging.\r\n\r\nWe will continue using these supplies for many future projects throughout the school year and beyond. One upcoming project will focus on the different events that led to the American Revolution. Students will create a large bubble letter \"R\" divided into 12 different spaces, with each space representing a different event. They will describe each event and add a picture that is relevant to it. We are so grateful to have these supplies available to make projects like this more engaging and hands-on. Thank you again for providing these wonderful materials and for supporting our students.
