They were expecting these materials for some weeks, and in the mean time they were working hard to earn tickets in order to have enough to redeem the desired toys in their hearts.\r\n That has being the reason for this type of project, to close the gap between the abstract of good grades, being organized and other important traits in any human being as a student (and in life if you ask me) and the concrete of getting a physical \"currency\" to be used to acquire a desired good to be enjoyed. The students can experience the transformation of an effort into something tangible and meaningful for them to get.\r\n I am sooooo grateful to you donors for placing in me your trust through the donation of the materials asked to make a difference in these children's lives. Your contribution has made a profound difference in our classrooms and in the lives of our students.\r\nThe sensory tools you provided have become powerful and effective resources for self-regulation. Our students especially loved the vibrating pillow, which helps them relax, and the kinetic sand, which offers comfort when they experience overwhelming sensory input. These tools have given them safe and joyful ways to manage their emotions and focus on learning.\r\nEqually impactful have been the communication devices. With your support, our students are now able to answer simple \"yes\" or \"no\" questions, expand their vocabulary, and begin forming short sentences of three to four words. This progress has not only strengthened their communication skills but has also significantly reduced unexpected behaviors that previously interrupted the learning process.\r\nThanks to your generosity, we have created a more inclusive and secure learning environment where every student feels integrated, supported, and empowered. Your donation has truly enhanced our ability to foster growth, confidence, and belonging among our learners.\r\nWe are deeply grateful for your commitment to education and inclusion. Your kindness continues to inspire us and reminds our students that they are surrounded by a community that believes in their potential.","fullyFundedDate":1755372787454,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-preschoolers-with-autism-thro/9481101/","projectTitle":"Empowering Preschoolers With Autism Through Sensory and Communication Tools","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fraire","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9759054_orig.jpg?crop=1049,1049,x0,y3&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755036003640","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9759054"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_45749","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":617,"numTeachers":40,"percentFrplEligible":62,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":97,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":0,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":88.8,"schoolId":45749,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Hialeah Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Hialeah Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/miami-dade-county-public-schools/hialeah-elementary-school/45749"}
