My 5th grade homeroom class compiled of 24 students would receive these magazines on a weekly basis and be able to transport themselves to different parts of the world. They would be exposed to different cultures and people's customs. They include maps and graphs as they fused reading across all curriculum's. This project will significantly impact my students as they will read about age-appropriate current events that reflect the current times. For instance, with all of the buzz around the upcoming presidential elections, the magazine is currently showcasing both presidential candidates and their direction for this country. We love reading!
