One small but meaningful moment was seeing students quietly grab a snack, settle into their seats, and stay focused on their work, rather than asking when lunch was or feeling distracted by hunger.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the snack cupboard filled, their reactions were pure relief and excitement. Several students smiled, said \"thank you,\" or asked if the snacks were really for them. The food helped create a sense of safety and care in our classroom—students knew their basic needs mattered. With their hunger addressed, students were calmer, more regulated, and better able to participate in reading, writing, and math activities throughout the day.\r\n\r\nBecause of these resources, we can now focus on learning without interruption. Our next steps include continuing to build academic stamina during longer lessons and small-group instruction, knowing students have the fuel they need to succeed. Your support didn't just provide snacks it helped create an environment where students feel supported, valued, and ready to learn.
