"Journal writing, when it becomes a ritual for transformation, is not only life-changing but life expanding." Jen Williamson My students need to have writing be fun to engage them in writing skills. Due to many of them having a specific learning disability and remote learning, writing is challenging. As future middle schoolers, I know the importance of developing written literacy skills. Using fun journal suggestions, pens, and markers will help motivate the excitement for writing. My students deserve to have the opportunity to learn to be good writers, even with the challenges they face.
