They made a big difference for them this year. My students who have a hard time concentrating in class were able to complete their work more accurately without the other classroom distractions. One of my students was able to enjoy recess time outside without the noise from cars and school bells. Some of my students were also able to participate in a new state assessment called UPAR using the regular headphones. This allowed me to determine their actual reading level and to determine whether the reading aloud accommodation was correct for them.
