Your kindness and support have made a tremendous impact on my classroom and on my students, and I am truly grateful for your investment in their education and future.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the printer, my robotics classroom has been transformed into an even more engaging, innovative, and hands-on learning environment. Students are now able to design, prototype, and create real-world parts and solutions for their robotics projects. Instead of only imagining ideas on a computer screen, they can now bring those ideas to life through engineering design and 3D printing.\r\n\r\nThe Bambu Lab printer has significantly improved the learning experience for my students by allowing them to explore problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking in meaningful ways. Students have become more excited and motivated to learn because they can immediately see the results of their hard work and innovation. They are developing valuable STEM and engineering skills that will help prepare them for future careers and opportunities.\r\n\r\nIn our robotics program, students have already begun using the printer to create custom robot attachments, replacement parts, prototypes, and design improvements. This technology has encouraged them to think like engineers, test their ideas, learn from mistakes, and continue improving their designs. The excitement and pride they feel when seeing their creations come to life has been incredible to witness.\r\n\r\nIn addition to educational and robotics-based projects, students have also enjoyed creating fun and creative items with the printer. From personalized designs and small toys to artistic creations and unique inventions, the printer has sparked their imagination and allowed them to express their creativity in new ways. It has helped make learning even more enjoyable and engaging for students throughout the classroom.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided opportunities that many of my students may not have otherwise experienced. Because of your kindness, our students have had the opportunity to engage in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that brought STEM concepts to life in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThrough this project, students explored science, technology, engineering, and math by planting seeds, monitoring plant growth, collecting data, and solving real-world problems as they learned how hydroponic systems work. The hands-on nature of this project allowed students of all ability levels to actively participate, build confidence, and experience success. Many of our students took great pride in caring for their plants and were excited to watch their hard work produce results.\r\n\r\nYour support also helped our students develop important financial literacy skills. Using the seeds and materials provided through this project, students grew products that they were able to sell while working at a farmers market booth. This gave them the opportunity to practice pricing items, handling money, budgeting, and interacting with customers. Through this experience, students connected their classroom learning to real-world situations while building communication, responsibility, and problem-solving skills.\r\n\r\nIn addition, students learned about nutrition and healthy cooking by growing lettuce, kale, spinach, and a variety of herbs. They explored how fresh ingredients can be used to prepare healthy meals and gained a better understanding of where food comes from and how it supports a healthy lifestyle. This gave students the chance to connect science and agriculture to everyday life in a meaningful way.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has done far more than fund classroom materials—it has created opportunities for growth, discovery, and confidence-building for our students. Almost immediately, students began pulling it up to their desks to brainstorm, map out ideas, and collaborate. I noticed a significant increase in participation and motivation among all students, especially those who are usually hesitant to share were suddenly excited to participate in a low-pressure way.\r\n\r\nThey also absolutely love the large chart paper and scented markers. These have quickly become student favorites, and they often ask to use them during group work and writing activities. It's made collaboration more interactive and fun, while still supporting meaningful learning.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we're continuing to use these tools to strengthen our writing and critical thinking skills, especially during brainstorming, drafting, and group discussions. Because of your generosity, our students have been able to begin exploring creative ways to recycle and repurpose plastic materials.\r\n\r\nSo far, students have been using our heat presses to transform recycled plastic into guitar picks to donate to our music programs and small flower pots that will be used to grow plants for our school garden. They have also been using heat guns to shape recycled plastic into beads, which students are turning into bracelets. The bracelets will be sold to help raise additional funds for our program, giving students the opportunity to see how their hard work can support future classroom projects.\r\n\r\nStudents have also been learning how to prepare materials using our shredder, which allows them to break down plastic so it can be reused in new and meaningful ways. This process has helped them better understand how recycling works and why reducing waste is important.\r\n\r\nOne of the most rewarding parts of this project has been the collaboration it has created across our school. Students from other classes have been excited to visit our classroom to help make items alongside students in our self-contained autism program. It has been wonderful to watch students interact, work together, and build their social skills while creating something meaningful.\r\nLooking ahead, our next goal is to melt recycled plastic and turn it into 3D printing filament. Students will then be able to use the filament to print helpful items that students at school may need, as well as items that could support others in our community. This will allow students to see how recycling can turn waste into something useful and meaningful.\r\n\r\nThis project has been an exciting way for students to learn about caring for the environment while also developing teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills. For many of my learners, especially those who need strong visual and tactile support, being able to physically create and modify parts has unlocked a new level of understanding and confidence in STEM.\r\n\r\nStudents are now learning to use CAD software to design brackets, sensor mounts, and decorative team pieces that we could never have purchased off the shelf. They measure, problem-solve, and iterate when a piece does not fit the first time, learning that mistakes are part of the engineering process instead of something to be afraid of. I have watched students who were previously reluctant to participate light up when they see the 3D printer bring their design to life layer by layer, and then proudly teach their peers how to use the tools safely and responsibly. This has given them leadership opportunities they rarely experience in traditional classroom settings.\r\n\r\nOne of the most powerful impacts has been on collaboration and communication. When a robot mechanism fails during testing, students now gather around the table, examine the printed part or tool-cut piece, and talk through what to change next instead of giving up. They are learning to share roles—designer, printer operator, tool safety lead, tester—so that every student, regardless of ability level, has an essential job on the team. Your support has not only provided equipment; it has opened a pathway for our students to see themselves as problem-solvers, innovators, and future technicians and engineers. Initially I didn't think many kids would be interested in a podcast club, so I had planned to offer it across the grades. However, after showcasing the idea to only 6th grade, I had 40 students sign up! My principal suggested that I provide a permission form and that only those who returned it be officially included. With that requirement the group dropped to 25, but of those about 18 have shown up consistently.\r\n\r\nWe started in early January, and I told them that they were in charge of developing everything- I am simply the General Manager. They collaboratively chose their name, are working on a logo, designing invitations, developing questions, generating a list of guests, working on music for an intro/outro, and scheduling the weekly work until mid-May. They also wrote you a thank you letter:\r\nDear Donors, \r\n \r\n We want to thank you for the equipment, and we appreciate your help in making this podcast possible. Without your support, this podcast wouldn't be happening right now. Our team is very grateful for how you donated and helped our school raise money for our podcast club.\r\n\r\nGuess what?! Our team has now confirmed our podcast name as, \"Carl's Cardenales On Air\"! Carl is our school mascot here at Cannon JHS. We wanted to choose a name that showed the different backgrounds we have in our community.\r\n\r\nWe've been working on the invitations to send to who we want to interview, to freshly start our wonderful, student run podcast. We thought it would be a great idea to interview Ms. Galvin, our school principal first. Then, after her we will continue our interviews with our basketball team, our volleyball team, and potentially Lebron James. We know trying to invite Lebron James is a little crazy, but we think it could be possible because nothing is impossible.\r\n\r\nWe've also been trying to help our librarian, Ms. Laboy, organize our new podcast room to finally put all our brand new equipment in. It is taking some time because we only meet once a week, but it should be put together very soon.\r\n\r\nSincerely, \r\n\r\nAll the members of \"Carl's Cardenales On Air\"\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your belief in this project. Before your donation arrived, \"Do you have an extra pencil?\" was the most common phrase heard in our hallways. Today, that has changed.\r\n\r\nBecause of your gift:\r\n\r\nEvery student started the week prepared. No one had to feel the sting of being the \"kid without a pen.\"\r\n\r\nOur after-school art club has doubled in size. With enough supplies and canvases to go around, students who previously sat on the sidelines are now discovering their voices through painting.\r\n\r\nClassroom morale has shifted. There is a visible spark when a child opens a fresh box of colored pencils. It tells them that someone—even someone they haven't met—believes their work is worth the high-quality tools.\r\n\r\nOne of our sixth-graders spent three hours yesterday meticulously labeling a diagram of the solar system with the new watercolors you provided.
