To our kids, snacks and stickers will truly make the world. I often use stickers as an incentive in my classroom and rely on stickers to show my students they are doing a great job! Stickers are a good cheap incentive for teachers and a good alternative to buying candy all the time. \r\n\r\nThe snacks will be used for students who may come to school hungry, testing, or for those students who may not get a meal when they get home. For our butterflies, we are going to watch them grow and learn about their ecosystems. They have already been delivered so right now we have our eyes on very tiny caterpillars that we are going to watch grow. My students were so shocked when they saw the caterpillars because none of us expected them to come yet!\r\n\r\nWe are going to view the terrarium together and learn how it works. Personally, I use Teachers Pay Teachers for supplemental items for my classroom. I teach 5th grade science in the state of Ohio and it is a tested subject. That being said, I do not always have the materials that my students need to learn specific topics. \r\n\r\nSo far I have used the gift card to buy supplemental learning activities and fun activities like a butterfly packet to go with the butterfly kit I received. They definitely love being able to work outside of their workbooks and learn more than just the curriculum.
