Fourth grade mathematics can at times be very challenging and requires great stamina. These materials will be used to create a place in our classroom for when the going gets tough or just a calming place to study and review lessons. It’s a place where team building can take place and a place for mindful mediation. Before we can be successful, our mind has to be a healthy enough place that will receive the things being taught. This will be the place my students can come for renewal as a means to prevent shutdown. A CD player to listen to positive affirmations, classical music or the sounds of nature, a tablet to research/study or practice skills through interactive gaming. The pillow, rug, canopy, and figet balls are those soft items that help to create a relaxing ambiance. Self care is important! Especially in Math Class!
