When the heavy-duty pencil sharpener and the new sets of Tri-Write pencils arrived, my students were genuinely thrilled. For many of them, something as simple as a brand-new, high-quality pencil feels like a special gift, and they were eager to test out the \"tri-grip\" design right away.\r\n\r\nThe new sharpener has been a total game-changer for our daily routine. Before this, we spent far too much time struggling with broken tips and a dull manual sharpener. Now, we have a \"station\" that works perfectly every time. I'll never forget the cheers from a few students when they realized they could sharpen a whole handful of pencils in seconds without the lead snapping! It has turned a once-frustrating chore into a smooth, satisfying part of our morning, allowing us to dive straight into our writing and math lessons without delay.\r\n\r\nThe \"Dice Within Dice\" and standard dice have already brought so much energy to our math centers. We used them this week for a probability and addition game, and the students were so engaged they didn't even realize how much mental math they were practicing. Looking ahead, we plan to use these dice for more complex data-tracking projects in our next unit. Your contribution has provided more than just supplies; you've given my students the reliable tools they need to feel prepared and excited to learn every single day.\r\n\r\nWith deep appreciation,","fullyFundedDate":1657287940238,"projectUrl":"project/minimum-supply/6399476/","projectTitle":"Minimum Supply","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Guvanjov","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8088056_orig.jpg?crop=924,924,x12,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1778088598186","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8088056"},{"teacherId":7763732,"projectId":9155959,"letterContent":"The 8th graders and I had a wonderful time reading Bill O'Reilly's book, Killing Lincoln this past summer. The book allowed them to refine their use of reading strategies we have been learning about, such as making predictions, making inferences, and drawing conclusions. They also learned a good amount of history along the way.\r\nQuality books make a huge difference, so thank you for gifting my classroom with this treasure. Although some of my students are struggling readers and did not get to finish the book during the summer, they have an opportunity to complete the book by signing up for my Battle of the Books Book Club this fall.\r\nOnce again thank you for these treasures.
