The storage craft organizer boxes helped us keep seasonal and holiday materials neatly arranged and easily accessible throughout the year. In the same way, the crayons caddy supported daily classroom routines by keeping supplies organized and readily available for students during both academic lessons and creative activities. These materials helped improve classroom management, increase efficiency, and create a more organized space where students could focus and thrive.\r\n\r\nThe additional educational supplies helped make learning more interactive, creative, and enjoyable for our students every day. The sensory table has become a favorite spot where students scoop, sort, and search for hidden shapes, strengthening focus and fine motor control while practicing early math skills. During one small group lesson, students used the low to the ground board to match shapes by color and size. One student who typically struggles to sit at a table was able to access the board comfortably on the floor and independently sort shapes with pride. Our musical books and instruments are part of literacy time, where students tap along to rhythms as we turn pages, building listening skills, turn taking, and expressive language.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the room filled with excitement. Students immediately gathered around the sensory table and eagerly explored the instruments, experimenting with different sounds and beats. There were smiles, laughter, and so much curiosity. Even quieter students found confidence through rhythm, shaking instruments and flipping through musical books with growing independence.\r\n\r\nNext, we are expanding our shape study by incorporating manipulatives into building challenges and collaborative projects. Students will create shape pictures, count sides and corners, and use descriptive language to explain their designs. We are also connecting music to movement, encouraging students to follow rhythms and express emotions through sound. These resources continue to support hands on learning, communication, and confidence as our special learners from military families grow academically and socially.","fullyFundedDate":1758857412865,"projectUrl":"project/shape-up-the-beat/9742881/","projectTitle":"Shape Up the Beat!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wolf","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8978035_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1678096534690","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8978035"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_50886","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":591,"numTeachers":52,"percentFrplEligible":26,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":12,"percentWhite":42,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":26,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":2,"percentMultiracialImputed":11,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":56.9,"schoolId":50886,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Daniel K.
