The markers and colored pencils will help us in reading, math, science and of course art. The triangular pencils are a must have for all of our academic studies. The tape will help with our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) units. You wouldn't believe how much tape the students use. I love to hang up their writing and art on the walls and windows as well and the clear tape is a \"must have.\" The timers have already been a huge help with our reading groups so I can time them and make sure I get to everybody. We are using the materials four days a week and the end of the day. The student always look forward to their STEM time where they can create, share ideas, and have some fun. They love to build trains, castles, and designs with all of the materials. I love the moments where I get to sit alongside of them and to build with them. One of the special moments of the year was when I was sitting next to my student who only speaks Chinese and it is hard to communicate. We began building together and he had the biggest smile on his face! We couldn't communicate through words but we could through the activity. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw all of the activities and materials provided they were so happy and thrilled to get their hands on them. We spoke about taking good care of our precious materials.
