Even students from previous years peeked in and made positive comments saying how much they wished they could come back to kindergarten to enjoy the new setup. The flexible seating has been especially helpful providing calm, comfortable spaces for students to focus and work without distractions. It's also become a wonderful positive incentive, giving students something fun to look forward to as part of our classroom routine.\r\n\r\nSome of the new materials have been added to our calming corner, where they've already helped students regulate their emotions and return to learning more quickly. Several of our students with special needs have really connected with these tools, using them to stay calm, focused, and ready to learn. The manipulatives have also been a big hit during small group work, supporting differentiated learning and giving students hands-on ways to explore and understand new concepts. We were able to have enough chargers for all scholars to be able to charge their devices and access what they needed during the day. My scholars were so excited to be able to have a charged computer in order to respond to our group writing discussions and access their learning websites without the worry of their device dying in the middle of a lesson. \r\nThis also helped teach scholars the responsibility of making sure that their personal device for school was plugged into our cart each night.
