After receiving the sets of books, I went to work making videos of me reading each of the books (100 books in total). I created QR codes for each of the books and taped these onto the inside front cover of each book. Students are able to scan with QR code with a tablet or chromebook and access the video of the book being read. Students can listen to book, read the book with me, or practice reading the book on their own and if they need help, use the video to help them. My multilingual students use these books in their regular classrooms throughout the week. With these books these students are learning new vocabulary words in English as well as learning the 100 most common words used in reading and writing! Their regular classroom teachers are appreciative of this activity as it allows these students to learn on their level independently while other students in the class are doing work on their level. I have also created several board games and uno games using words from the books and letters to identify letter sounds. My students really enjoy playing games and don't realize that they are still learning and processing information when they play games. The toner cartridges have been a blessing for printing out pictures, game cards, and books to use and share with my students! Thank you so much for funding my Donors Choose project! Because of your kindness, our students received a collection of essential materials that have truly made a significant difference in their daily learning experience. The headphones, tissues, fidget bands, and crayons you provided are not just supplies — they are tools that have transformed our classroom environment into a more inclusive, comfortable, and engaging space for all learners.\r\nFirst and foremost, the headphones have had an incredible impact. Many of our students rely on digital platforms for differentiated instruction, such as reading programs, math games, and assessments. Before this project, we were sharing a limited number of working headphones, which created disruptions and challenges during lessons. Now, with a class set of high-quality headphones, students are able to focus independently without distractions. It has elevated their ability to engage with personalized content and allowed me to provide more meaningful one-on-\r\none or small group instruction. The improvement in concentration and comprehension is already evident in their work and confidence.\r\nThe tissues might seem like a simple item, but their value cannot be overstated. Our classroom is a busy, high-energy environment, and with that comes the everyday sniffles, sneezes, and occasional emotional moments. Having a steady supply of tissues on hand has helped us maintain a cleaner, more hygienic space — especially during the colder months. More importantly, it shows students that we care about their well-being. It may seem small, but this kind of comfort helps create a classroom climate where students feel safe and nurtured.\r\n\r\nOne of the most unique and effective additions from your donation has been the fidget bands. These simple yet powerful tools have made a remarkable difference for several of my students who struggle with focus and sensory regulation. Whether they need to move to stay engaged or require a quiet outlet for nervous energy, the fidget bands have helped them remain grounded and attentive during lessons. I've seen students who used to constantly shift in their seats now remain more centered and productive. It has also had a calming effect, allowing these students to participate more fully in class activities without feeling singled out or frustrated.\r\n\r\nLastly, the crayons have brought so much joy and creativity into our classroom. Having access to vibrant, new crayons has enabled students to express themselves in a colorful and imaginative way, which is so important in early learning. Whether it' s for art projects, illustrating their stories, or completing hands-on learning tasks, these crayons have sparked excitement and pride in their work. They're not just coloring tools — they're instruments of self-expression and creativity that every child deserves to have.\r\nYour generosity has gone far beyond the material items. You have sent a message to my students that there are people out there who believe in them and care about their education. That encouragement goes a long way, especially for students who may not always have access to the resources they need. You've helped create a more equitable and engaging learning environment, one where every child has what they need to thrive.\r\nThank you once again for believing in our classroom and investing in the future of these bright young learners.
