They were so excited to be able to go outside during free time to play. A lot of students have never experienced riding a tricycle or scooter before so watching them have this experience for the first time truly made my heart happy.\r\n\r\nMy students are using their big muscles to pedal the bikes up and down the hills. They are using their coordination skills to have different body parts working together at the same time. Smiles from ear to ear filled my room. These bands have given the students ways to keep their feet busy without actually getting up out of their seats. The two different class sets of books I requested gave students different options of reading. There are two little boys in my class that never read, however, when those books came in they quickly grabbed up one to read. I also had read about using the good smelling stickers as incentives. I never thought they would work as well as they have. Being able to offer those stickers as an incentive to have a great day, has been a game changer.
