The amazing EL teacher used an aquarium theme to build background and provide opportunities with language that students would see and hear in our field trip to our local aquarium. \r\nStudents watched live streamed videos from the Newport Aquarium and used the materials to tell stories based off of their learning. Having tools aligned to themes and interests of students helps them engage and communicate their own stories and learning. \r\nStudents in our school community continue to use these materials for play and story telling.
