These art materials will be used to help my students express their feelings, spark storytelling ideas and explore the visual elements of art- line, color, texture, pattern and form. (Shhhh, don't let them know that Art can be Math and Science too!) During our Morning Invitations and Play Workshop, my students gravitate in droves to our Creation Stations. Sometimes their creations spark and ideas or bring a story to life that they've been working on in Writer's Workshop. Other times, their creations become gifts for family and friends. Their pride illuminates our entire room when they see their work of art on display.
