When I was in school getting our copy of Scholastic news was always a very exciting day. The pictures were so colorful and the content was always interesting. It's something that I have very fond memories of and I want to create those memories for my students. Scholastic news magazines include non-fiction content that is age-appropriate and highly engaging. Each issue helps to build reading skills and increase science and social studies knowledge with engaging informational text, complete lesson plans and on-line resources. Students receive four issues a month which include topics about social studies, history, influential figures, and science and technology.
