Because of your generosity, each of my high school students now has their own personal whiteboard at their desk—and the impact has been even greater than I imagined. The idea behind this project was simple: to make note-taking and classwork feel more playful and less like a chore. Traditional pen-and-paper notes can feel rigid and uninspiring, especially for teenagers juggling multiple classes and responsibilities. But with these whiteboards, everything changed. As soon as students saw the new materials, they were instantly curious and excited. Some even asked, \"Wait, we can really draw on our desks?\"\r\n\r\nWe started using the whiteboards for what we call \"desk graffiti.\" It's a fun and low-pressure way for students to jot down key ideas, sketch diagrams, brainstorm, and even respond to warm-up prompts. And because it's erasable and temporary, students are more willing to take creative risks without fear of being wrong. I've seen shy students come out of their shells, drawing visual metaphors for themes in literature or mapping out ideas with bold confidence. What started as a simple change in materials has created a huge shift in classroom energy. These whiteboards have transformed how we engage with content, and they've added a layer of creativity and joy to our everyday lessons.\r\nThank you for believing in my students and in the value of making learning fun. Your support has made a lasting difference—not just in the tools we have, but in the way we think, create, and connect with each other.","fullyFundedDate":1752601500434,"projectUrl":"project/help-my-students-think-on-their-desks/9461243/","projectTitle":"Help My Students Think on Their Desks","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hernandez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10078451"},{"teacherId":3435006,"projectId":8824184,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity!
